Popular N.J. Butcher Shop To Appear On ‘Diners, Drive-ins and Dives’
Guy Fieri is making his way to the Garden State! The Diners, Drive-ins and Dives host will be making an appearance at Brigantine’s Ernest and Son Old-Fashioned Butcher Shoppe, they announced Tuesday on social media.
Shop owner Brian Mel Cortellessa posted the exciting news to Ernest and Son’s Facebook page writing, “DDD is back! Ernest and Son is excited to announce our new show will air this Friday Oct. 28 at 9 p.m. on the Food Network,” said Cortellessa’s post. “Show title is ‘from sausage to sweet.’ We appreciate the opportunity and are excited for everyone to see it! Thank you for all the support as always!”
The South Jersey shop has been in business since 1977 and is known for its meat cuts, and handcrafted sandwiches. Ernest and Son also offers salads, burgers, and a host of different sandwiches. You can check out their extensive menu here. They are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This is the butcher shop’s second appearance on the show. They first appeared on the Food Network show in 2017 when Fieri tried their sandwich called “The Tailgator” which is made up of sausage and grilled peppers and onions. The chef also tried their homemade beef jerky.
Ernest and Son will be coming back to Diners, Drive-ins and Dives on Friday (Oct. 28) at 9 p.m. EST on Food Network.
