Having your favorite comfort food nearby, especially during colder weather, is crucial. According to ComfortableFoods.com, they have compiled a list of each state's go-to food. "Depending on where you stay in America, the comfort food peculiar to each state can turn your frown into a smile at first bite,” the site stated in the article. "Whether settling for a pizza in a restaurant or making your deep dish pizzas at home from scratch, comfort foods are the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the rest of your day. America is a nation of comfort foods with a myriad of restaurants making our delicious dreams come true. It’s where you can indulge in any food you want without judgment."

To give you a hint on what New Jersey's comfort food is, its name is often fought between North Jersey and South Jersey. If you guessed, taylor ham (or pork roll) you are correct!

"The Taylor Ham Sandwich is the most popular go-to food for residents of New Jersey," the website reads. "It's a mix of pork rolls, cheese, and hamburger buns or toasted rye bread to give a blend of deliciousness."

Our neighboring state New York's comfort food is hot dogs and cheese pizza while our sports rival Massachusettes got savory macaroni and cheese. Take a look at the full list here.
