According to a travel publication, Far and Wide, New Jersey is home to one of the best sandwiches in the entire country. They ranked sandwich shops from all over the U.S., and a spot in Parlin made it on their must-visit list. The website said that their ranked sandwich shops are great, with some being legends and others buzzing with new flavors that will make your taste buds do a happy dance.

Big Wally's Subs and Deli has clinched the top spot among the Top 15 sandwiches in the nation with its submarine sandwiches. The site said that this unassuming sandwich joint in New Jersey may not be physically large, but it packs an enormous punch when it comes to the variety of options available to customers. The ranking also highlighted its menu which has more than 50 sandwich combinations on the menu.
"When it comes to subs, we have a simple rule: Always trust cash-only places; they're usually the best," said the ranking. "And if one is to believe reviewers, the rule certainly holds true for Big Wally's Subs and Deli."
With an impressive rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars on Yelp and numerous rave reviews, this sandwich spot has certainly earned its reputation as a crowd favorite. According to one enthusiastic reviewer, this sandwich joint is "The best sub shop in town. We get it at least once a week, and the prices are great!" Another satisfied customer states, "Best subs around. There is no substitute." It's clear that this place has carved out a special spot in the hearts (and stomachs) of sandwich aficionados.
While it may not claim the top title of having the best sandwich like the shop in New Jersey, Slyman's Deli in Cleveland, Ohio and Johnnie's Beef in Chicago are not too far off. Claiming the spots two and three on the list.
