National Coffee Day is on September 29, and coffee lovers have a lot to look forward to in New Jersey. The state is home to various coffee shops that pride themselves on roasting their own beans, creating unique coffee drinks, and offering environments that reflect the local vibe.

This trend isn't unique to New Jersey. It's happening all across the United States. Tasting Table, a digital media company focusing on food and drink, set out to find the best coffee shop in each state by enlisting the help of locals, internet experts, and their own experiences. Their discovery? No matter where you are in America, there's a local coffee spot that can provide a more memorable and genuine experience than the big national chains, they said on their website.

Where is the best coffee shop in New Jersey?

Tasting Table crowned Grover's Mill Coffeehouse in West Windsor as New Jersey's top coffee shop. They praised this coffee shop for its unique theme centered around a 1930s radio hoax, specifically the War of the Worlds radio adaptation by Orson Welles. They also offer a selection of specialty coffee beans, including Dominican Red Honey coffee, and their menu includes unusual options like elk chili, pheasant and wild rice soup, and espresso venison stew.

The West Windsor coffee shop has a 4.5 out of 5-star rating on TripAdvisor, and many reviews support its reputation. One person shared how it's more than just coffee at this establishment, noting, "It has the appeal of an old-school coffee house." Another customer shared their positive experience, emphasizing, "The coffee is AMAZING and the staff is always friendly and welcoming!"

Grover's Mill Coffeehouse officially opened in November 2008, establishing its presence with a café and roastery in the West Windsor area. Their menu features a wide range of artisanal coffee and tea options, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and seasonal beverages. They also offer a variety of freshly baked pastries and breakfast choices. Grover's Mill Coffeehouse is located at 295 Princeton Highstown Road in West Windsor. It’s open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
