A New York City-based sushi restaurant has touched down in the Garden State.
Japanese eatery Nami Nori debuted in Montclair at 2 South Willow St. on Oct. 20. Nami Nori also now operates two New York locations — West Village and Williamsburg — in addition to the new N.J. spot. The West Village restaurant was Nami Nori’s first spot which opened in 2019 per N.J. Advance Media.
Nami Nori’s Montclair location has a 37-seat indoor dining room and two temaki counters. The restaurant is known for its open-style temaki (hand roll sushi) and vegan menu. All of the food at Nami Nori is gluten-free. Some highlights of their menu include ribs, coconut shrimp, and classic sushi rolls. Nami Nori also has two Montclair exclusives added to their menu: ocean trout and the sweet potato tempura which is vegan. They also offer traditional Japanese snacks and desserts in addition to their beverage menu which includes cocktails, wine, and other spirits.
The restaurant opens Tuesday through Saturday from 5-9:30 p.m. Click here to make a reservation and check out the yummy photos from their Instagram below:
