Six Flags Great Adventure Getting Major Upgrades This Summer
If you’re looking for some outdoor fun this summer, Six Flags Great Adventure might be on your list. Six Flags Great Adventure’s Hurricane Harbor will be getting several new attractions for the 2023 season, park officials announced Wednesday. There will be new slides and an interactive splash play area for children. There will also be increased shade and dining options, according to a release from the park.
“As one of the Northeast’s largest water parks, we are focused on increasing value for families and elevating the guest experience,” park officials said in a statement. “This significant investment brings state-of-the-art kids’ attractions geared towards children under 42 inches tall, plus park enhancements aimed at providing exciting new experiences for all ages.”
There will also be seven rides that will be aimed for younger riders. Those include Cowabunga, Jellyfish Twist, RipCurl, Shark Attack, Splashin’ Seal, and Stingray Racer.
In addition to the new rides guests can also have increased shade and dining options. Guests can rent new cabanas and oversized umbrellas. Families can also enjoy an outdoor dining option right across the bridge from Splash Island.
Splash Island will include a tree house play structure with mini slides, curtain waterfalls and a big water bucket so kids can play in the water all summer long.
Hurricane Harbor will open on May 20.
